三島由紀夫の『潮騒』で翻訳勉強 １
二週間あずかった孫たちが帰り、やっと自分の時間ができた。しばらく休んでいた翻訳勉強を始めよう。翻訳勉強用の小説は三島由紀夫の『潮騒』にした。中学生のとき、又吉直樹のように太宰治に揺さぶられることはなかったが、『潮騒』には熱くなった。
翻訳は一向に上達しないが、ボケ防止にはなっているでしょう。
私の翻訳
Utajima, the Song Island, is a small island of less than fourteen thousands populations.
The island has two most beautiful view spots. One is Yashiro shrine which was built facing the north-west near the highest cliff of the island. The island is located in the entrance of the Ise Gulf, so from there, the inside of the Gulf can be seen. Just before on the north, there is Chita Peninsula. And from the east to the north Atsumi Peninsula stretches. On the west the coastline from UJiyamada to Yokkaichi of Tsu can be seen off and on.
Going up two hundreds stone steps to the torii guarded by one pair of stone made Chinese lions and looking back, Ise sea surrounded by such a distant view is just like an unchanged eternal view.
